Key Takeaways to Implement

From the end of Erin's chapter

  1. Know your hormones — get a comprehensive hormone panel done at least once a year, especially if you are experiencing fatigue, mood changes, weight shifts, or sleep disruption.

  2. Support your liver daily: reduce alcohol, increase cruciferous vegetables (broccoli, kale, Brussels sprouts), and stay well hydrated to support healthy estrogen metabolism.

  3. Prioritize sleep as a hormonal reset — aim for 7–9 hours of consistent, dark, cool sleep to allow cortisol, insulin, and growth hormone to regulate naturally.

  4. Consider working with a naturopathic doctor to explore bioidentical hormone therapy, herbal adaptogens, or targeted nutritional support tailored to your unique physiology.

  5. Track your cycle (or symptoms if post-menopausal) for 30 days to identify patterns in energy, mood, digestion, and libido — this data is your body's communication.
